  17. This is a one page worksheet in which students:
  18.     explain the difference between mass and weight  
  19.     use a "metric ladder" to convert between metric mass units
  20.     use a balance to measure the mass of five objects
  21.     measure the masses of pre- and post-1982 pennies and graph the results
  22. Students will need centigram balances and various objects to weigh;  you will need to provide a supply of old and new pennies.  You will also need to explain MANY times how "y = mx + b" relates to chemistry.
